When I enter the name and the unlock code it tells me “Registration Unsuccessful.” What do I do?

We have found that registration fails due to the following reason:

(the unlock code is case sensitive and sometimes users accidentally enter extra spaces at the end).

Ensure that the name and unlock code is typed exactly as shown in your original e-mail. Pay particular attention to spaces and capital letters.

Also, try to type it in instead of cutting and pasting. On some computers, we have found that pasting adds hidden characters.

Very occasionally, the following may also create problems:

When typing in the numbers using the keypad, the numbers are sometimes interpreted as different characters and it will not be accepted, although it may look right to you.

Method 1

Install the add-in from administrator account.

The user can login from the user account and use TBYL after following the instructions below:

Go to the location where TBYL is installed.
The default path is: C:\Program Files\MPS TBYL 4Outlook

Inside this folder there is a registry file named "tbyl_reg". When shown with extension it appears as "tbyl_reg.reg".

Please double click on it and run this file. Click "ok" on the message box you get.

Restart outlook and check to see if the toolbar shows up.

Method 2

If the above still does not work, then:

Give the user in the second profile Administrator privileges.

Reboot the system to let the change in administrator status take effect. This will give that login rights to carry out installation. This can be done from the Control Panel (User Accounts).

Then do the installation in this second profile.

Once the TBYL has been installed under that profile, check to see if the toolbar shows up.

If it does, you can then change user back to current security level.

I cannot activate the add-in using the “Auto-Activate through Internet” method, why?

I am currently using an older version of Outlook and want to upgrade to Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010. What is the procedure to move the TBYL add-in to another version of Outlook? Will I have to purchase an upgrade?

You do not need to purchase an upgrade. You can upgrade for free.

All you need to do is to download and install the TBYL version for Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 and your activation will be picked up automatically.

Link to download the latest version:

Can I download the add-in onto more than one computer?

The trial version of the software can be installed on as many computers as you wish. Your permanent unlock code (that you receive after purchasing) is officially licensed for use on one computer. However, we realize that many users have an office computer and a home computer (or a desktop computer and a notebook). We therefore allow the activation of the software on the two computers that the user will be personally using.

Will there be a way to retrieve my Unlock Code if I lose it?

Yes. The registration process will match each e-mail address to a unique Unlock Code. You will be able to e-mail us with the request to retrieve your Unlock Code as long as you use a consistent e-mail address.
