Sales Manager Career Opportunity

The Sales Manager will have two initial areas of focus: 1) execute direct sales with clients and 2) learn to conduct sales training and coaching for entry-level Associate Consultants. Primary responsibilities include new business development with Enterprise Clients. Secondary responsibilities include the development, execution and measurement of sales training programs, coaching and mentoring Associate Consultants in their sales efforts, creating account and territory development strategies, tracking results in a CRM database, overseeing sales administration and creating sales collateral, and working in partnership with the Client Services Manager to create lead generation programs for Associate Consultants.


Job Description Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Client Services, the Sales Manager is part of a growing staff leading McGhee to its next level of performance as a consulting company. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct sales calls, presentations and submit proposals
  • Attend networking and industry events
  • Open new Enterprise Accounts
  • Create sales collateral
  • Create account and territory strategies
  • Track and analyze client and sales data in CRM
  • Mentor and coach Associate Consultants
  • Update and maintain Consultant certification programs
  • Create sales training programs and collateral

Ideal candidates should have sales experience and demonstrated results in a business-to-business professional services industry and experience selling to large corporate clients. Experience in sales management is a plus. They must be a team player and possess the ability to consult and partner with all functional areas within a client organization, identify requirements and present solutions and provide coaching to help our Consultants expand their portfolios and generate revenue growth. The Sales Manager must be able to work independently and enjoy working for an entrepreneurial company with a big outlook.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of B2B sales in a services industry
  • Demonstrated results in opening corporate accounts, relationship development and target attainment
  • Sales training and coaching experience a plus
  • Passion about the products and services being offered, and the benefits they produce in client organizations
  • Passion about sales as a career
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, creative, and organizational skills
  • Smart, flexible, diligent and professional — willing to work hard but have fun doing it
  • Ability to learn and add value quickly and manage to budget
  • A sense of urgency and goal orientation
  • Technical knowledge and ability using MS Office

Experience:

In addition to a Bachelors Degree, candidates will have:

  • 5+ years background in sales; services industry preferred
  • Sales training and coaching experience a plus
  • Proven record of accomplishment in lead development and revenue growth
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Presentation and proposal design experience
  • Sales administration and support experience
  • Ability and interest to work at home

Other:

McGhee Productivity Solutions is a virtual company that offers a high-degree of flexibility and opportunity for growth and contribution to its employees and leadership team. Training sessions and company meetings are typically held in Denver, CO. This is a contract position with long term opportunity for benefits. Compensation is a base in the mid to high 40’s plus commissions.
